Preferential insurance of vegetables and melons has started in Azerbaijan

Preferential insurance of vegetables and melons has started in Azerbaijan within the framework of state-sponsored agricultural insurance.

This was reported by the Agrarian Insurance Fund.

According to the information, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated December 22, 2021, the list of agrarian insurance items - insured plants was expanded.

As a result, vegetables and melons widely grown in the country - peas, green peas, watermelons, melons, tomatoes, onions, garlic and cabbage - are also included to the list of insured crops.
